We love how this blue on blue nursery is turning out. Blue tree on a blue wall, blue rocker, blue night stand. If done correctly, using one color can be very soothing and a great way to go in the nursery.

We found the nursery over on K.F.D. Designs. This soft, but not overly sweet, gender-neutral nursery belongs to Latisha, a client of decorative painter Kristen Davis.
oh, i love that mobile so very much.
the rest of the room is sweet too . . . blue, white and brown. very soothing.

Love it, and the mobile is the best thing I've ever seen.

I usually don't like blue in the nursery (too cliche and unoriginal IMO) BUT this is really elegantly done. The tree on the wall looks like a shadow...very pretty!

I like that the tree goes to the ceiling...wish I had thought of that! But maybe not as effective if your ceiling is not the same color as your walls.

FYI--the mobile looks like it was made following this tutorial:

I haven't made the mobile before (I hear the balancing part is difficult), but I've made several birds as Christmas tree ornaments. Totally easy. Totally cute.
