In the travel-themed nursery above, a vintage map steps in as artwork.
monika1 points out the similarity in wall color (in this case Ralph Lauren's Armangac) to that of Sam's Chocolate Crash Pad the winner of our Color Contest. Except this time the deep brown makes a surprising pairing with pink and vintage for a decidedly girly look.

It's raining polka dots in this room where textiles rule the roost.

This is such a nitpicky point, but it drives me nuts to see pictures like the top one where there is a train track coming out from beneath the crib. Anyone who tries to get to the crib is going to trip on that thing. I'm sure it was put there in styling or it is meant to be implied that it is there for play, but with the point of this picture being the decor not the room as a playspace, then it is so out of place. My rather unobservant husband looked at the picture and immediately commented on the placement. It's the sort of picture that makes it look like no one actually lives there.
