Flickr Find: Calendar Wall

What a charming and fun addition to a room! We spied this DIY project and fell in love. Genie and her husband, Scott, created a gigantic calendar on their wall and the results are incredibly winsome and fantastic.

Finding inspiration from the movie "If Lucy Fell", Scott painted a calendar on their living room wall in which Genie colorfully jots down their appointments, fun dates, milestones and to-dos. We can picture this being a fab and fun project for families -- with everyone from preschoolers to teens finding something appealing in it.

I loved that movie ;-)
I think this would be perfect if it was done with white dry erase paint (the black outline could be regular paint as it wouldn't change) and then you just fill in the dates and the details with markers every month. That way there's no need to repaint the whole thing next month!
