Wow, if I had owned one of these as a freshman dorm dweller, I wouldn't have broken my toes as I leapt out of bed to answer the phone!

After my fateful incident, I bought some of the old-fashioned cupholders that you used to put in cars before cars had cupholders. I lined them along the rail for important items that need to be within arms' reach (like the phone). Zoe's creation has far more style, though!

Will be trying to make one of those myself. And thanks for the cup holder idea Molly Margarita, I'll be using that in the meantime!

Brilliant. Needs a marvvy paintjob however. Then it will be STUNNING!

smart! i mounted a shelf on the wall next to my son's loft bed, but this is more versatile.
