it's a little trick we discovered when vacuuming. We naturally picked up a lot of her toys and the things in her play area in order to vacuum under them, and we decided to just move them all around afterwards. Now every time we vacuum, we mix things up a bit. It's the same idea as rotating toys, but with the larger objects in the room, and doesn't require you to put them away- just move them. We've always felt inspired by simply rearranging our furniture, so why wouldn't she?
Her tunnel from IKEA seems much more exciting when it's behind the sofa; her PB little chair faces the kitchen so she has a new view. It's amazing how excited she seems when she comes back into the room. She'll start to play with things she hadn't played with in weeks just because they're in a different spot. Suddenly, her world looks fresh and new, and it doesn't cost a penny, or require a space like the one pictured above!

Good idea!
Now where can I find that teepee?

The link in the photo credit says that the wigwam comes from Win Green. It doesn't look like they make that neutral design anymore. Their current selection is here: http://www.wingreen.co.uk/store/view/cat/id/21/wigwams/

I do this almost every other day!
I move things around, add/remove things from the room, shuffle up the books and place the furniture in different places.
There are days where it's ALL stuffed animals, ALL books, things sorted into red/blue/green/yellow/orange baskets and other themed days.
I'm having to handle the things when they get tidied up at the end of the day anyways, so might as well have a bit of fun myself - not just when I vacuum. :)

This is great pattern for making your own teepee.

Funny--whenever we try to move toys or furniture, our toddler insists on putting everything back the way it was. I'm assuming it's partly a phase, and partly signs of a compulsive personality in the making...
