Gothic Sweet: Hank and Dexter's Rooms

Gothic Sweet -- that is how we would describe the home that Jen and Rob have put together. Dark colors and dramatic accents lovingly put together and manage to appear playful and winsome. A family home that is chock-full of the parent's personality and aesthetic while still being child-friendly.

Jen and Rob's twin boys, Hank and Dexter, age two, can enjoy a secret cubbie hole in the kitchen -- with wall to wall magnetic chalkboard paint; a dude ranch-inspired reading room that is sure to inspire a love of reading; a fort in the backyard and giant, playful murals in their bedrooms.

I cannot get over the coolness of the stick-fort.

It takes more than painting something a dark color for it to be gothic. The word is highly misused.
I do like the contrasting colors.
