Are you happy? Scared? Shy? Mad? We love this fun empathy poster that Annie, from Sensible Living, created for her daughter, Lily.
Are you happy? Scared? Shy? Mad? We love this fun empathy poster that Annie, from Sensible Living, created for her daughter, Lily.
Annie states on her Web site, "I don’t know about you but I spend enough time asking my child how someone seems to feel and what they might be needing, that a game or poster like this could be useful to have around."
Lily and Annie wrote out a list together of what feelings to use for the poster. Annie states, "When we were actually taking the pictures I’d say, 'What does mad look like to you?' or 'Can you show me how you look when you’re excited?'" The results are honest and true and all together charming.
What a great idea!
the bottom row, middle picture, is hilarious!

i like the rolling eyes one!
What a good idea to make a child more aware of reading other people's body language and also to be aware of the body language signals they are sending.

Love this! We play a game at the dinner table that we call "Faces." Bascially our 3yo, my husband or I says an emotion and everyone else has to make that face--happy, sad, shy, surprised, etc. It's lots of fun.
