Inspiration: Midcentury Living Room and Playroom Combination

2009-02-24-dsc.jpgTo us, this room is pretty much perfect. We love the children's toys strewn among the classic midcentury pieces. How lucky is Flickr user wiro.karen?

It's a great example of incorporating children's belongings into the home without sacrificing style. The fun doesn't end indoors; look through the windows and see the beautiful deck complete with tricycle and baby doll cradle. And if you look closely, you'll see a vintage Little People schoolhouse on the window sill.

Thank you so much for posting this! I am sick of seeing nothing but ways to shove kid stuff into hidden corners and spare closets. It's nice to see a home that fully represents everyone who lives there.

Agreed! I like that they don't try to pretend that kids don't live there.
