We are drooling over this room within a room concept seen over at Naif Magazine. It features a boxy miniature "house," complete with a door and window, and an open wall on the other side.
Inspiration: Room Within a Room
From the photos, it seems the walled-side with the door faces the door to the actual room. So it allows the child to have some privacy, while the back of the "house" is open to the rest of the room. It's cozy and helps hide a less than tidy room!
Sure, most of us don't have the luxury of building a room contained within a room. But we can still be inspired by the space-saving simplicity of the layout. On the inside is a cantilevered loft bed with plenty of floor space below. Very nice.
