Inspiration: Shared Nursery on a Budget

2009-11-18-sharedroom.jpg

Many of our readers have their kids share a room, whether out of necessity or otherwise. We like this beautifully decorated shared nursery done a budget.

The parents found many of the bigger pieces at thrift shops - the toddler bed was $30 and the upholstered chair was a steal at $10, which they had reupholstered. Many of the details were DIY projects like the fabric-covered pelmet boxes and the bookshelf that is papered on the inside. Little Green Notebook has more photos of this good looking shared room here.

Nice job! I love the reupholstered chair as well as the calming shade of blue. Oh, and the artwork above the crib is really cute too. I like both the saying on it and the nice contrast against the wall.

So many have the "Keep Calm" poster in their homes, but hanging it over baby's crib is THE BEST spot in the house!!
Cute room too!

I love the simplicity of this room. It still boasts plenty of character, but in a natural, soft way. I agree with burnttoast--the Keep Calm poster is seen in many homes, but i think it looks best over the crib. Nice work!
