The Toy Society is a simple idea - make a toy and leave it for a stranger. All that's asked of the recipient is to report back with your find. Most Toy Society activity has taken place in Australia, but the concept is spreading around the world.

Love this idea. Wonder if I would let my kid take something like this home if we came across it. I'd like to think yes but...

ya i agree with that ... it is a darling idea - - but how do you know some creepy someone doesnt see this idea and use it for something not lovely ... plus you never know how long the toy has been sitting there (im thinking rain and then mold growing inside)
... but i would like to think the world is wonderful still :0)

Thanks for the mention ohdeedoh.
Just to put your mind at ease, the toys are in plastic bags to protect them from the rain. I worried about the mould myself and so decided to put the toys in bags. And so far the toys last barely more than 30 minutes before they're picked up by someone!
And by the way anyone is welcome to join in the fun, pop by the blog and let me know you want to play and I'll send email the details.
