Land Of Nod: Shopping With A Snicker

110609-landofnod.jpg We'd like to take a creative liberty this morning on the word entertaining. Although that's the theme for this month, we'd like to share something that was "entertaining" to us, although it has nothing to do with throwing a party...

While we were cruising around the Land of Nod website looking at a few things, we noticed that there's a tab on each product page that says Knock Knock. Funny enough, each product on their site, has a different knock knock joke on it (although some are funnier than others). You can see the one above on here.

This isn't a life shattering occurrence, but we thought it might make your Friday a little funnier... shopping with a snicker, buying online has never been so entertaining! You may now return to the regular usage of this month's theme!

speaking of Land of Nod, I've just declared to never shop with them again.

I ordered 2 items, both of which were shabbily made, emailed customer service the day I got the shipment, never got a response, finally called them, and when I kindly told them I was unhappy with my purchases they offered to "review them" after I sent the items back on my dime and if they were return worthy they'd issue a credit and it not, the items would be sent back to me... Not exactly what I thought would happen after spending $200. The stroller wasn't what we thought it was (one can only find out by testing it out though) and the sleep sack's zipper didn't work, although I didn't get to find out until my 7 month old woke up twisted in it. I literally walked the stroller around the deadend (less than 1/4 mile) and then emailed them immediately that it was flimsy and not what we expected.

Not a great experience, not happy about having an Uppababy G-Luxe (black on black) that I paid $160 for and have no use for. I will go back to my mantra of shopping local, however more expensive it is. I'm sure given the economy and how tough sales are these days a local store would have at least worked with me on it. It's not as if I was a raging b*tch about it, or even close.

end of rant.

sorry to hear about your bad CS story, mellow yellow -- i've had only positive experiences with land of nod.

all that to say, the LON website is one of my favorites... totally inspirational, cute, and witty. Thanks for the knock-knock joke tip. More to add to our 4 year old's repertoire....he likes to make them up (knock knock, who's there, chicken, chicken who, chicken at the farm who likes to eat some corn with the cows.)

I always appreciate a little humor with my shopping. I like how their catalog has lots of asides and little "winks" to it, as well. They have a very friendly voice.
