The space in question lies between Jasmine and Jay's living room and bedroom and Jasmine reports that it had become somewhat of a dumping ground where they stored things. I thought, "no way
could this 30 x 8 foot room ever be a real room..." But once we were forced to make it work, I realized that even a really narrow room can become a usable space.

As you can see from the photo above, they deliberated a bit on the paint and wisely chose a sunny yellow to compensate for the room's lack of windows. For the same reason, they went with a light-colored rug.

The butter yellow glider was a Craigslist find and the sweet dresser is part of Ikea's Traby system which they've painted over. Blik wall decals add some playfulness to the room.

You know what this means: we can no longer use the dimensions of our similarly shaped room as an excuse to treat it like a second-class citizen. Hats off to Jasmine and Jay!
