Although it seems every one is using wall decals in the nursery and elsewhere, this application really works. The bows on the bedding seem to take flight as butterflies. The leather pouf is a nice accent and makes a great ottoman for the rocker. (We've seen leather poufs in the nursery before.)

The bold orange in this nursery against the stark white walls and dark floor is striking. The paint technique makes a feature of the walls and art work in a room without a lot of architectural detail.

It has been proven that babies cry more in yellow rooms than in any other colored room, as opposed to the calming, serene colors of blue and green. Although it looks amazing, it is not practical.
As quoted on the following website:

"When overused, yellow may have a disturbing effect; it is known that babies cry more in yellow rooms."

Wow, I love these! Gorgeous.
(Psst...have a pale yellow nursery and a baby who doesn't cry much at all. How is that possible? I'm confounded!)

love the orange stripe and square on the wall, might have to borrow that idea when I finally buy a house

Liz, that's probably because your nursery is pale yellow.
I have heard and read (link) as well that people tend to argue more in yellow rooms and babies tend to cry more. I suppose this has to do with the fact that yellow is the most fatiguing on the eyes. It may be cheery, but I wouldn't say it's soothing.

Does anyone know where that chair is from? I'm looking for something exactly like that- simple, clean lines (and hopefully not too expensive).

Ok, does anybody notice the sconces right above the crib? What kind of hazard is that??? I know, it's just a display, but all I can imagine is hot bulbs and broken glass right over the crib! Any child able to stand is going to be fiddling with those lights.

I love the red footrest in the first photo. Does anyone know where the footrest is from?
