Surely you have some of these old-school wooden pant hangers kicking around your closet or you can snag some for cheap at a garage sale. They've fallen out of favor for hanging pants, but have been re-envisioned for hanging art.
Look! Using Pant Hangers for Displaying Images
Poppytalk spotted these in the summer issue of O at Home magazine and while these vintage photos look beautiful, we think more modern prints would work just as well. You could also paint the wood to match your decor. These would also be a smart way to display and easily rotate your children's own art work.

I like this idea.
For hanging pants, I found that the Beechwood Hanger, a modern version of those vintage hangers works the best for my pants and skirts.
