Marimekko's Muksunhylly Fabric

muksunhylly-fabricpic.jpgWe just recently discovered Marimekko's Muksunhylly fabric and have to say "Wow!" Why hadn't we seen it before? A playful, colorful pattern featuring children and a variety of household items combine with a nod to Mondrian to create this charming fabric.

Designed and printed in 1955 by Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi, the vintage appeal of the Muksunhylly fabric is what makes it so fun. We can easily see creating a pair of shorts, pillows, curtains, a pair of kicky capris (for us) and being pleased as punch with the outcome.
