We can't stop looking at the photos of the dollhouse that Joel – of the brand-new-but-destined-to-become-a-favorite blog Made by Joel – made for his two children. The simple, open design of the house and the chunky, tactile furnishings (how awesome is that shag rug?) make for a super-fun, highly playable toy.

Says Joel on his blog:

I'm sure I'll never stop making furniture for it. It's too much fun. Jack especially loves organizing and arranging the furniture. The guys in the family are playing with dollhouses and the girls are out riding bicycles. Nice.

this is so awesome and i love everything on his site. i actually looked at it yesterday, but didn't comment. then i had a dream about the embroidered t-shirts last night, so i figured i better come back and say how awesome joel's blog is. i would totally live in this doll house - or at joel's house.

This is stellar. I am obsessed with dollhouses (only in my mind and in all the bookmarks I have for dollhouse related items). I am in love. I can't wait to make one for my daughter-although I know it's more for me:) I'm most excited about creating art for it!!
