Jennie already had a table and shelves, but she needed more to make this into a functional workspace. Thanks to solid bargain-hunting and DIY skills, she managed to outfit the rest of her office for under fifty dollars.
Says Jennie:
I purchased the green glass-top table ($10) and the orange chair ($8) through Craigslist because they fit my existing style. I painted both pieces and re-upholstered the chair, converting the table to make the kids’ desk. Inspired by the new colors and needing to repeat them for the right effect, I added the lime green stools from Ikea ($8 each) and brought in the Buddha heads from Ross, one green ($5) and one orange ($7). And voila… the space was complete.
Thanks so much for sharing, Jennie!
I love this idea! I work at home as well and will keep this in mind whenever my little one is at that stage! Thanks!

My 3-year-old wandered in and was dying to have a "little desk and computer" as pictured.
