This Way to the Rabbit Hole

2009-03-17-mad hatter.jpg
This imaginative space has us inspired. A tiny attic in grandma's house was converted into the "Rabbit hole" from Alice in Wonderland. Complete with murals of the Mad Hatter Tea Party, costumes, a long table set for tea, and yes, a hole you must climb through to get inside- what child wouldn't want to have tea?

Vanessa writes,
"She hosts these tea parties for her 4 grandchildren and their friends. She decorates all of the stairs(she has five flights)with tiny trees and signs that say, "this way to the rabbit hole", and dresses as the queen of hearts and usually serves berry tea and ice cream. It is an amazing and truly magical little space for children."

Thanks for sharing Vanessa!

Anyone else have any small magical spaces?

Where is the rabbit hole and how do you get an invite to tea? So many fond memories of playing in my friend's Grandma's attic.

Love this special space! My mother, who's grandchildren call her Birdie, has made 2 unique little spots in her house for her grandchildren.

Some more lovely pictures would have been just the thing.
Just adorable. Who painted these murals?
