Name: Allison
Location: Lyons, Colorado
Child: Cullin, 2 years
Inspiration: bought a vintage fabric barkcloth pillow with a bright colorful farm scene on it even before my son was conceived and saved it for the day when I had a baby. I just knew I couldn't pass it up - it was one of a kind.

Tip for Using Color: Don't be shy with it! Children love color and I don't think it can be "too much" for a little one's room. It is inspiring and bright just like their little minds.

Colors Used: I used Safecoat No VOC paint for the sky blue, vermilion barn door red and spring hill green. and then accented with orange for accessories.

What a sweet farm retreat. I love how you textured the walls with the fence (and complimenting animals) and how the closet door is made to look like a barn :)

Thanks everyone! I'm just figuring out that folks commented and I needed to register and respond!
I wish I had better photos, b/c the room is really more fun in real life.
The closet doors & fence were created by painting architectural balsa wood in a distressed style and then gluing them to the closet doors for a realistic barnwood feel.
peta is correct - it is a babystyle lulu the lamb rocker - though i think they have since changed her look.
the desk is an old antique Chautauqua scroll desk that my mom found when i was little in Vermont. perfect that it had barnyard animals as one of the scroll scenes!
