Ohdeedoh Kids' Color Contest
Entry #45: Evan's Leafy Arbor

holly110708.jpg

Name: Holly
Location: Portland, OR
Child: Evan, 11 Months

Inspiration: Leaves, trees, and nature in general inspired my color selections for Evan's room. Living in Oregon...

Inspiration continued: ...trees and leaves dominate most of the natural environment, and I wanted to extend that landscape into the nursery.

Tip for Using Color: Keep your mind open to allowing color surprises. Children will inevitably accumulate toys, gifts, and other objects that add additional and different colors to mix.

Colors Used: The green paint is Behr, Japanese Fern. The linens are Dwell, Robin. The curtains are Marimekko shower curtains, in the Kaiku pattern. The gray carpet is Flor carpet tiles.

I love the way you used the Woods wallpaper! I've been contemplating stretching it over frames myself. I'm definitely going to do it now, I love the effect.

Thanks! I've long wanted a piece of art that wrapped around a corner, and I thought that I could use the wallpaper to create a little "woodsy" corner for nursing and reading.

Really cute! I love that wallpaper. Where is the little white end table from. It's awesome!

Japanese Fern is a great color. My son's room is also painted that color.
