Kids' Thanksgiving Table Centerpiece

2009-11-03-centerpiece.jpg

Did we just drop the "T" word? We did. It's November and time to start making Thanksgiving plans. So put down that Halloween candy and start making your lists. If you're hosting this year and your guest list includes lots of children, it might be time to put together a kids-only table.

But instead of making them feel less than important, consider a fun centerpiece like this one we found at Parents Magazine. You'll need the following items:

  • 16" to 18" sticks
  • Acrylic paint
  • Paper grocery bags
  • White paper
  • Glue
  • Colored pencils
  • Tall drinking glasses
  • Beans
  • Lentils or split peas

Schedule it as a rainy day project for you and your kids to make before the big day. Detailed instructions can be found here.

Cute idea but where do you put the turkey (and ALL the other food!)?
