Huggable Lights

2007.03.14.huggablelight.jpg

Afraid of the dark? When we first saw Diana Lin's Rei Huggable pillow over at Yanko Design, the first thing we thought was, what a cool way to put a nightlight in a kid's room. If the kids are sleeping with stuffed toys anyway, why not one that glows in the dark?

These pillows are made of LED lights, embedded in silicone bubbles and wrapped in a furry cover. Their light is intended to mimic sunlight, and the silicone (according to the Yanko people), makes users feel like the pillow is hugging them back.

If you are not a fan of the white, you can get covers in pink and gold.

The pre-order price is $84.95 at Diana Lin's site, and for a limited time, you get your choice of cover colour. These are going to retail for $124.95, so if this is your thing, now is the time!

Those look great! If only they weren't so fuzzy/stringy.

I saw a similar product at Wal-Mart (shhh! don't say it!) for like 20$CDN.
