These lamps have to be one of the prettiest things we encountered at ICFF. Astrid, the Danish designer, was a delight to speak with. Her website says, "Light is my oxygen," and she plays with light beautifully inspired by the light Scandinavian summers and dark winters.
ICFF 2008: Insects by Astrid Wulff
The insects cut into this paper cast their shadow on the wall when the lamps are lit. They're inspired by Hans Christian Anderson, who apparently, also "explored the world of telling through paper cutting."
