ICFF 2008: Insects by Astrid Wulff

2008-05-30-gaard.jpg 2008-ICFF-OHD.jpgThese lamps have to be one of the prettiest things we encountered at ICFF. Astrid, the Danish designer, was a delight to speak with. Her website says, "Light is my oxygen," and she plays with light beautifully inspired by the light Scandinavian summers and dark winters.

The insects cut into this paper cast their shadow on the wall when the lamps are lit. They're inspired by Hans Christian Anderson, who apparently, also "explored the world of telling through paper cutting."

These would look so pretty in a nursery or child's room, or how about for an outdoor dinner party? Contact Astrid to find out how to purchase one.
