Look!: Kartell and Barbie's DreamHouse

barbiekartellTOPPIC1.jpgWhile recently perusing the Kartell Web site, we noticed a great little press release posted not too long ago. The interior of the Kartell flagship store, in Milan, was transformed into living quarters designed for everyone’s little plastic fantastic, Barbie.

Meant to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Kartell and 50th of Barbie, an entire collection of Kartell products were designed in Barbie pink including the Bourgie lamp, Charles Ghost stools, Papyrus chair and Misses Flower Power vase. Kartell has created Barbie-size pieces of the Louis ghost chair, the Bourgie lamp and the Toptop table.

According to the Kartell press release, “Mothers and daughters united in the choice of one sole iconic product which will add a rich and special note to the homes of women today who move with the times but who have never stopped dreaming with Barbie.”

The shop’s windows were also transformed into a Barbie dream house showcasing Kartell products fashioned in various Barbie environs including a living room, dressing room, terrace and tea room.

How fun!
