There is lots to love in this shared room. Where to start? We love all of the mismatched vintage pieces from different eras, the high shelf, the one little random cupboard, the hits of color, and the wide-planked wood floors.

We saw this photo over at Emmas Designblogg where she's taking a look at her favorite childrens' rooms of 2008. This room is a shining example of how well-chosen odds and ends can come together to make a beautifu, cohesive room.
This is excellent in it isn't overly feminine either.

That's my goal for when my daughter gets her big girl room...to make a bunch of beautiful thinks cohesive without being overly matchy (the mistake I made with the nursery and it made decorating very rigid). This room is great!
