...Million Dollar Baby, Pier1 and Overstock.com. The textiles are from Tonic Living.
The couple didn't find out the baby's gender so the nursery had to be somewhat neutral. We love the choice of dark furniture and kelly green - not typical but definitely impactful.

Um...impactful?

I love the use of the Kelly green. It really sets off the black furniture.

Hi~
I attended recently a talk about feng shui for children, and according to these guys, a room like this one would make a baby nervous! It's cool, but maybe too much for a baby? I'm also sick of pastel colors, that's why I'm going to try sand, khaki tones for my baby's room.

Sol,
What in particular would make the baby nervous? Is it the grey? I thought they like contrast.... I'm really curious.

I thought black and white images and patterns stimulate the brain development of babies - which is a good thing. I love this nursery and the kelly green accents!

I think this is a very stylish room however it's been decorated for the parents and not the child. Babies don't stay babies for long and they deserve a friendly, warm and age-appropriate bedroom which I don't think this room is at all (and there's no need to go down the route of wishy-washy pastels or lairy primary colours either in order to do it). I just think this couple have taken it a little too far but, if they're happy with it then who's to say it's wrong - I just wouldn't use this approach for my child's room.
