Look! DIY Dining Set from Cookie Magazine

DIY_dining_set.jpgWhen our almost-four-year-old peeked over our shoulder and spotted this photo while we were browsing Cookie's Nesting blog, he immediately proclaimed that we needed them because "our chairs aren't cool enough." We're trying not to take it too personally, because they are, in fact, pretty cool chairs. Pretty do-able, too.

Just painting a set of mismatched chairs the same color is a neat idea, but leaving the bottom portion of each chair unpainted is what takes this concept to a new level:

All you need is a can of paint to transform all those mismatched chairs (including the high chair) into a cool new dining set. Just keep the bottom 12" of the chair legs unpainted. It's like a paint slipcover--super fast and super easy.

Does anyone know where that highchair is from? I checked the Cookie site already.

Those chairs look like they're wearing capri leggings.
