I already had [a Rast] sitting in my garage so I thought that would be the perfect place to start. I also already had an old Ikea Stripa shelf in my garage which I used for the top shelf. I then went to Ikea where I found the Bygel rail ($1.99) and hooks ($.99) to use for my utensil rack. I also found the little towel racks which I used on the sides in their clearance bins for $.99 each. They are actually Takta drawer handles. For the back splash I got a small piece of birch plywood ($12.99) from Lowes which I cut to size with my jigsaw. For the burners I went to the craft store Michaels and searched their wood section and found the circles (.59/each), flames (.25/each), and knobs ($5.99 for 4 less my 40% off coupon). I painted them with acrylic paint I already had at home. The fabric is outdoor fabric I got from Joanns ($16.99/yard less my 50% off coupon) that was left over from making a cover for a sandbox I made out of an old hope chest. The small nesting bowls are from Marshalls ($5.99). The sink bowl is from Ross ($2.99). The faucet I actually got from work. It's a GE reverse osmosis faucet which is normally super expensive but it came from a warranty repair and we were just going to throw it away. You could easily get a point of use R/O or water filter faucet for pretty cheap. The "spice" jars are from Target (.99/each) I filled them with rice colored with food coloring.
