The FLOR catalog always inspires. We spied this DIY Hop Skotch Project among the images. Wouldn't this be great fun in the nursery, playroom or hallway?
 
 

We reviewed the instructions and they seem reasonably doable. (Think somewhere between Cro-Magnon and Drudge on the ReadyMade scale). To make one of your own, you'll need 8 carpet tiles, a carpet knife, paint and brushes. Detailed instructions are here.
