Look!: Globe Lamps

Light up your world. We've seen the idea of making globe lamps a few places and wanted to share it with you. Maps and globes around the house are attractive and can come in handy as reference tools.

Since they're usually made of two pieces, they're relatively easy to break apart. This Craftster hung two in an office area.

Or swap one in for a regular lampshade.

Another idea is to illuminate the whole globe and use it as a nightlight. You can wire your own globe or purchase an illuminated globe (here's one source).
