Look! IKEA Mammut Crib

2009-02-14-ikeacrib.jpg

Have you seen this crib? It's part of the Mammut baby and kid collection of IKEA furniture. You know the one -- cartoonish, kind of like what you'd see in Alice in Wonderland. But we'd never seen the Mammut crib until we spotted it at Covetable.

Apparently, there is one. Make that two - one in blue, one in pink. Has anyone else seen this or does someone own one?

went to ikea (schaumburg) on valentines day and didn't see these.

i think the table and chairs are cute... and we checked out the mammut stuff because we are trying to figure out a toddler bed/twin bed situation. but the lifespan of the mammut furniture would be short because they are so cartoonish and baby-looking.

How great! There also seems to be a new bookcase, which is pretty normal-looking (for the Mammut series.) As in, you could keep it longer than the cartoony Mammut stuff.

I saw the pink one at the Calgary IKEA. I couldn't help but like it. Its such a bubblegum colour. It was very sturdy too. Not falling-apart-rickety like the other ones in the showroom.

sorry but this crib is hideous...no one should subject a baby to this...

Is it mini size like all the other Mammut stuff? That wouldn't surprise me. I think that style is cute, but the scale of everything is completely impractical. My 6yr old towers over the Mammut bedroom furniture. Who can afford to buy all new furniture 2-3yrs after buying this stuff? It's all too small and therefore too short lived to be realistic.
