Look! IKEA Table with Chalkboard Paint

081009ikeachairs.jpgWe were at a friend's daughter's first birthday party this past weekend and snapped a shot of this IKEA play table and chairs in the playroom.

 
 

We love how a simple stain and a little chalkboard paint on top of the table turn the simple unstained birch into a real eye catcher.

The table and chairs are available at IKEA for $39.99, but this is just a great reminder that a little creativity can go a long way!

Ha! We did this exact same thing with our table. Our chalkboard paint has chipped though, and was never very easy to write on... is one kind of paint better than another?
