Look! Mod Green Pod's Mini-Pod

Check out the sneak peek of Nancy's (of Mod Green Pod) house going on over at Design Sponge. Nancy writes: My daughter's room is Ikea City, but nothing beats Ikea for kids' rooms, especially when it comes to storing all their stuff.

We made the lamp in the corner by attaching 4 round paper lanterns in a column. The Roman shades are Mod Green Pod's Grand Jubilee in Chocolate.

My daughter learned how to embroider at her Montessori school when she was only 4 and last summer, she designed and stitched the piece on a throw pillow. She and I made the bunny and the cat together.

Cute! If someone had offered me that room as a child, I would have rethought my hatred of pink.

IKEA makes total sense for kids' rooms. It's adaptable as they grow, has a gratifyingly low cost per cubic foot of useful storage, provides simple shapes to keep clean, and is unremittingly cheerful.

Great room. But I'm confused. How can someone so dedicated to organic cotton fabrics with clean inks fill their kid's room with ikea furniture which is primarily made of mdf with all sorts of yucky glues and coatings? Just curious...

jwong:

According to Nancy's description, the shades are made from the Grand Jubilee fabric in chocolate. The fabric is available at her website:
