One of the articles we dogeared in the recent issue of Parenting was of a terrific playroom makeover. The gloomy attic space, described by owner Juli Smith as a "toy dumping ground" was brightened with a lighter shade of paint and organized with carefully selected storage pieces.
We like how the art table anchors the room and, as the child occupants (ages 4 and 19 months) get older, can be used for doing homework.
The addition of chocolate brown in the rug brings a little sophistication to the primary blues and reds without darkening this now airy space. See a slideshow of all the changes as well as product information at Parenting.com.

Such a refreshing color scheme! I like the fact that it is appropriate for both boys AND girls..
