It's a fairly safe understatement to say that we here in the Ohdeedoh universe like pennant garlands used in kid decor. We're always on the lookout for new iterations, and this version, created by Molly at The Purl Bee, caught our eye. If you've been thinking about creating your own garland but want to do something a little different, this should provide some inspiration.
Look! Party Garland
Our favorite thing about this garland is its mix of pennants in different sizes and shapes. You can download templates for the shapes that Molly used, or you can freestyle with shapes of your own devise, like Design Mom did after being inspired by Molly's approach.
The great thing about going a bit random with the pennants is that you can be a lot more loosey-goosey when you're assembling the garland. (We love how Design Mom just ran the pennants quickly through her sewing machine without even bothering to change the colors of thread on the bobbins. That's our kind of crafting!)

I like the idea of this for a birthday, and think I will make one to go with our fabric birthday tablecloth that we have used since my son's 1st birthday ~ but also considering making one of these for my bitty girl's room to make it more colorful and festive
