Look!: Recycling Project, Junk Mail Trees

2007_09_10_recycled junk mail.jpg

Junk mail turned into art. Patricia of the blog A Little Hut describes herself as a wife, mother and graphic designer, but we'd like to add paper artist to her resume. Her blog is filled with inspiration including these gorgeous paper sculptures made from junk mail. Who doesn't have a ton of junk mail, especially catalogs, lying around? You can recyle it the traditional way or you can recycle it into art.

For this project Patricia used junk mail with green printing, Bristol paper, an Xacto knife, and a spray adhesive. With supervision, this would make a great project for kids though you will want to substitute scissors for the Xacto knife.

See her instructions here and be sure to visit her blog for lots of creative ideas. Interested in buying some of Patricia's wall art or cards? Visit her online store, A Little Hut.
