Look! Stone Dolls

Depending on where you live, the opportunities to craft with outdoor materials may soon be coming to a close. When we saw these adorable Russian dolls at maya*made, it got us thinking that we could do something similar with all the smooth river rocks we've collected over the summer.

Not only are these dolls lovely to look at, Maya also says that her little girl loves playing with them. Your little one isn't into dolls? We could also see this idea artfully executed with robots, space creatures (or earth creatures, for that matter), or even cars.

very sweet! I always 'find' items at the doctor's office ~ tongue depressors make very happy puppy dogs!

while waiting on the doctor, I pull a fresh tongue depressor out of the canister and draw the kid's favorite spotted smiling puppy at the top ~ smiles at the doctor's office are always a good thing!
