When we spotted this stroller/bike combo over at Treehugger, we weren't quite sure what to make of it. The design is a bit industrial for our taste, but we could be willing to overlook that, given the fact that, in addition to being well-made and ergonomically correct, the Dutch-built Taga converts from a tricycle to a stroller in seconds.
Right now, the Taga is available only in bike/stroller mode, but the company has plans to soon offer options such as a double child seat, car seat, shopping basket, and wooden two-seater trailer. We hope the company also has plans to soon offer the Taga on this side of the Atlantic, as it's available only in Europe. And hey, while we're hoping, maybe the cost will come down from its current price tag of £1,695.
i neeeeeeeeeed it. but it's sooo much money. wa

Way too much money, I'm afraid, but the design is brilliant. The Taga would absolutely turn heads where I live. I have to say, though, there was some other company working on a similar concept bike (and less expensive!). I saved a picture of it. Was it Bugaboo? I can't remember.

Ooh. I like it. I'm obsessed with mommy tricycles right now. I wrote a post featuring two other ones recently:

and will have to add this to my wish list.
I was in Portland, Ore., over the weekend and had to stop myself from stealing one of the bicycle taxis that transport tourists (and inebriated locals?) around town.

I found a KidzTandem maker/distributor in Colorado, so I'm looking into purchasing one.

Ooh, I love this! Too bad it is so expensive and not available in the States anyway.
