Before you get too excited, this is only an art piece and not in production - but feel free to get excited about the design! We love maps so a 3-D representation really floats our boat. We're not sure books are the best thing to store in this, however, and would rather see it filled with kids' toys, shoes, stuffies, etc.
Curiously titled ‘Oh, the farmer and the cowman should be friends,’ (which musical fans will recognize from Oklahoma!) the bookshelf is part of artist Ron Arad's exhibition at the Timothy Taylor Gallery.
Wouldn't this be a fun way to teach your kids geography? "Put the suntan lotion back in Florida, Jimmy." We suppose you'd have to improvise something for Alaska and Hawaii though.

I love the idea, but I'm not crazy about storing books in it. I'm very picky about how my books are treated, so this would drive me a bit crazy :)
However, I think it would be fantastic in a play room or kids room for toy storage on the lower shelves, and knick-knacks/keepsakes on the higher ones!

In our house we'd just get into arguments like whether The Grapes of Wrath belongs in Oklahoma or California.

I love it and I would put my books in it. Our book shelf is kid accessableeee. I would love for this out of reach cool book shelf to hang right there...yes I already have a spot for it.
