When the school we work at decided to clean house, this book was in the "throw away" pile. Luckily, we saw it sitting on top looking quite lonely and longing for a home which would appreciate all its splendor.
Look! Vintage Beginning Science Book
With a 1954 copyright, the book is filled with a fun kitschy approach to childhood science. "What is the sun? Why don't we fall off the earth? Children will find the answer to these and many other questions in BEGINNING SCIENCE."
How shadows are made, how roots grow, easy experiments are all brought to life with charming illustrations -- many of which are frame-worthy.
We wonder how many scientists today were inspired by this book as children? We certainly don't see this book as an outdated relic. It's too fabulous!
