As an adult, I can appreciate and even love that. But that's the stuff nightmares are made of for kids!

Scary commie playgrounds make babies cry.

I have to disagree with paperdollsforboys. I think the characters are all charming and just silly and colorful enough to take the scary edge off for kids. I think that when kids are around fun "harmless" monsters, it takes away some of the fear from the IDEA of monsters. I think these sculptures are creative and great. It'd be great if somebody here would take off with the idea at some of our playgrounds.

I looked at the links, most of those give me the creeps. It's almost as if their was some cruel motives to mess with children's psyche. *shivers*

The ones pictured may or may not scare kiddos, probably depends on the child.
