I made these for my kids for last Christmas. I am definitely doing it again this year since they like the real stuff so much more anyway.

This is a great idea, but I would caution against the Smarties in the film canister. I just don't think it's a good idea to teach your young children that colorful, round, disc shaped items in a cylindrical canister are CANDY. Yikes. I'd just do the other stuff instead.
