Bambu is jazzing up their kids' utensils line with some prehistoric appeal. Still made sustainably with organically grown bamboo, Bamdino makes a nice alternative to metal or plastic, especially for tucking in your bag for outings.

Our neighborhood cooking shop carries Bambu products, but if you can't find them locally, the set of three utensils is available from Branch Home for $9.
The utensils are durable and meant to be reused over and over, but Bambu is also offering disposable dino-themed Veneerware plates for parties and picnics. A pack of 10 sells for $10.

do they have to be disposable? the plates i mean. could you wash them? i didn't see a non disposable plate alternative.

That fork looks completely useless. I can't imagine that the knife cuts much, either.

I thought bamboo forks looked useless too, but my brother and sister in law bought me a to-go ware utensil set for christmas, and the fork works just as well as a metal fork, even better with stuff like grapes, b/c it isn't slippery like metal. The knife works well, too. Surprising, but great (and they really are better to take along than metal, b/c they're so light. I just keep them in my bag in case I get take-out or bag a lunch that needs utensils)
