Good Idea: Mini Jack O' Lanterns

Last year we blogged about sending your kids something special in their lunch by writing on fruit. Just in time for Halloween, Jessica of Zakka Life creates these mini Jack O' Lanterns.

 
 

She used edible pens to draw on Clementine oranges to make these adorable Jack O' Lanterns. We love this fast and simple idea to get everyone in the mood for the upcoming Halloween celebration.

Just wondering--does the ink NEED to be edible? I mean can I use a ballpoint pen? I wouldn't think it would seep through.
