Iiamo Self-Heating Bottle

2009-04-21-iiamo.jpg

We've previously bemoaned the lack of portable solutions for bottle warming in the U.S. Some babies just prefer a slightly warmed bottle, be it formula or breastmilk. Check out the sleek Iiamo bottle designed by...you guessed it, Karim Rashid. Love him or hate him, you've got to admit that he's never dull. The Iiamo bottle doesn't just differentiate itself on looks alone. It's a self-heating bottle. Read how it works below the jump...

The bottle is self-heating but does NOT require batteries, electrical cords, etc. Rather, it uses an organic heating cartridge - just good ole salt and water to heat the bottle's contents. The Iiamo is free of BPA, PVC, lead and phthalates. And best of all, it is compatible with different nipples, including Dr. Browns and Nuk. Read more about it here.

That is a very cool idea. I'm curious about how much it costs in American dollars.

According to the website: $35.94 (USD)
Current shipping charges (to US) 18euro for accessories, so about $23.

Actually it looks like you get the 17% tax back if you ship outside the EU. Final total is: Bottle: $29.84 Shipping $23.44 = Total $53.28

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I absolutely love the look and the way it works! Now, if only they could get the price lower :)
