Rebel Plate

05-10-07ReTi.jpgEagle-eyed reader, Heidi, sent us a link to the lovely Scandanavian Design Rebel place setting.

Designed by Johan Verde, the plate and mug are a beautiful porcelain and the spoon is stainless steel. The plate has a rubberized bottom to keep it still on the table while your child eats.

The clean lines and color of the place setting makes the Rebel set a gorgeous example of design simplicity.

it says it is based on a child's eating manners--but how still and whole does the plate stay when your kid chucks it off the table? (as our nearly 10-month old does every evening) wish it weren't porcelain. but nice for an older kid.

I think the fact that it's porcelain would mean it would be a bit heavy for a baby to chuck across a room and the rubber bottom would make it difficult to slide off a table but who know. I just thought it was pretty.
