Swedish designer Karin Mannerstål found that the old spoon-as-airplane gimmick wasn't cutting it with her jaded kids anymore. Instead she created rabbit, teddy bear, cat, and monkey cutlery to keep kids company at the table.

This does look like a cheerful bunch to share a meal with. We especially like the monkey "pusher" for clearing fields of peas or dividing up potatoes. Animal Friends are made of matted stainless steel and are dishwasher safe. Find them at Huset ($65).
