Tea parties, real or imaginary, don't have to be fancy. In fact, this 17-piece service set ($8), could just as easily be used to play Mel's Diner. It's part of Ikea's Duktig series of children's kitchenware (see more below the jump).
Ikea Duktig Series
They can be used for small eaters, but probably better used for play. They are not safe for the dishwasher, the microwave or the oven. This 24-piece dinnerware set ($8) is rimmed with blue.
The 6-piece cookware set is stainless steel ($10) and no doubt also makes for good drums and cymbals.
The baking set ($7) is the only set that is oven-safe and Ikea helpfully notes that it may be recyclable.
