We have been having some fun in the kitchen, lately. Cooking with kids is a blast; good, messy fun. But let's face it - we don't always have time to bake from scratch, which is why we tried out a Kids Central Kitchen mix, and were very, very impressed. These are whole grain baking mixes, with no trans fats, no hydrogenated oils, no high fructose corn syrup and no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. Yet they still taste great!
Lots of mixes to choose from, including some yummy brownies and pancake options, and just $4.99 a package, which is comparable to store bought cookies - the ones loaded with HFCS and hydrogenated oils. Kids Central Kitchen also has some cute baking equipment - check out the happy stirring spoons!
It is a great idea, and hopefully Kids Central Kitchen will expand their line, but for now, we are happy with our plate of (guilt-free!) mudslinger chocolate brownies.
